Are your products ethical?
We care about human rights and try to source as many ingredients from cooperatives so we can make sure people have good working conditions (our shea butter and cocoa butter are sourced this way). Sourcing organically is really important for your personal health but it also means the environment is less impacted by chemicals and pesticides. We fill out products in glass containers and are looking to source them from recycled glass as soon as possible.
Where can I buy your products?
You can buy the products online, at local markets and shops selling local produce. If you can’t find it in your local shop please send us an e-mail request at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will getting touch with them.
Why is the shelf life of your products so short?
We don’t use preservatives in our products, we extend the shelf life with an extract of anise seed and basil leaf. We only make a small amount at a time and sell products that have been made less than three months before sale. They are fresh and natural, without chemicals and stabilisers. The cold pressed organic oils are the most potent the fresher they are. So use them up quickly; the fresher the better.
Why are some of your ingredients not certified organic?
Small operations like our own lavender oil production operate to the highest standard of organic agriculture. The certification process is very expensive and uneconomical on a small farm. If you have any questions about our process please get in touch.
A few of the products are not organic because they are so rare and there is no organic supplier. The Kahai oil we use only has one small supplier world wide and the properties of this oil are incredible.
Ingredients like vitamin e or water are not an agricultural product and therefor cannot be classed as organic, however all the ingredients we use are accepted by all major certification bodies for use in organic products.
